I honestly don't know how many people read this blog. And considering I haven't made an entry since the beginning of June I'd honestly say those that were checking in on occasion have long since left this out of their internet routine.
Alas, if you're still stopping by on occasion I'd like to take this time to thank you for listening to me during my rants and keeping up with the news of the DOD and FAA Air Traffic Control Maintenance worlds. I'm glad there are actually ears out there for my aimless wanderings of words.
I write this as a parting farwell as I am leaving federal service for a job in the private sector. Some of you may think I'm crazy, as I've been told a few times so far. But in my opinion, at 27 years old, I don't think I can look at Federal Service as a career like some of the older guys have. With the FAA AF pay plan and NSPS just around the corner, ATCM doesn't look too friendly for young guys like myself and I think at this point I need to broaden my horizons before I get all of my eggs in one basket. Up to this point I've only know military service and federal service and want to add a little more to my resume before I feel comfortable with my career stability.
I hope to have the option of a random guest post here on the blog and will continue to contribute so long as no one has objections. But I just thought it would be unfair for the readers not to know that I was no longer an FAA or DOD employee (Never fear as my PASS associate membership paperwork is already filled out!).
Best wishes and I hope you continue reading...
